FIRE PANELS & DOORS

As part of our service, we offer a free risk assessment and help you enhance on risk areas. Many people do not realise the importance of having the correct type of fire preventative equipment in their building and are unaware of the different measures that must be in place before a building is approved.

Where do I need fire doors and panelling?

According to the SABS 0400 – National Buidings Regulations, fire doors are required in feeder routes and emergency routes.

What are feeder and emergency routes?
These are routes taken in the event of any emergency to the closest fire exit leading to ground level open air assembly area which in turn leads to the street or public place.

Do I need fire doors?
Fire doors are to be installed at all fire exits according to National Building Regulations – SABS 0400. These doors fall into four classes depending on the risk assessment of the premises. They have been designed to contain fires in an emergency and to allow personnel to exit the building safely along the designated exit routes.

We design and fabricate fire retardant doors and panelling according to your needs. These doors are manufactured to the SABS 1253 specifications and are available in a wide variety of finishes(to match your décor) and sizes. They are lightweight as apposed to the fire retardant doors of the past. We also include approved locking devices to ensure security when necessary

Our risk assessment ensures that your work environment is a Safe Environment.
